Skin Rejuvenation

Introduction

Aging is associated with characteristic changes in the skin. There is increased laxity, and thinning which lead to wrinkle formation. These changes are caused by a decrease in the structural components of the skin. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is integral to maintaining the structure and function of the skin. HA binds strongly to water molecules trapping moister to keep skin hydrated. Aging is associated with the progressive loss of HA from the skin. By the age of 75 it is 4 times less abundant than at the age of 45.

We offer a combination of treatments that can reverse the signs of aging and restore a youthful complexion.

Elastence

Elastence is a specific HA in a sterile viscous solution. It can be used to reintroduce HA to aging skin through intradermal injections. Rather than acting as a filler, HA intradermal injections increase turgidity of the skin restoring elasticity and tone.

Laser ablation

Erbium laser treatments can be used for ablative and non-ablative skin rejuvenation programmes. They cause stimulation of new collagen production whilst removing the superficial layers of photo-damaged skin.

In addition to these treatments, chemical peels, Botox injections and dermal fillers can be combined to dramatically enhance the appearance of the skin.
