Skin Peels
Introduction
Skin peels are the fastest growing non-surgical procedure in the USA and are increasingly popular in the UK.
Peels loosen and remove the surface layer of the skin, thus removing dead cells and pollution deposits. They can be used to treat sun damaged skin, fine wrinkling, acne and uneven pigmentation. They stimulate cell renewal and rebuild collagen to assist in achieving fresher, brighter, smoother and firmer skin.

1. What is a glycolic peel?
Glycolic peels are made up of AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids) which are found naturally in sugar cane. They work by dissolving the adhesive like substance that binds dead skin cells, so dull old skin is removed to be replaced with fresher brighter skin.
2. Why have a glycolic peel?
Their deep cleansing action minimizes both the development of acne and the appearance of fine lines, evens out pigmentation and improves skin texture.
They can also be used in conjunction with laser treatment in order to maximize the treatment potential.
3. Should I do anything before having a peel?
You will be asked to use recommended homecare products for two - four weeks prior to your peel in order to prepare the skin.
4. What does it feel like?
You may feel a mild tingling sensation whilst the peel is applied.
5. Are there any side effects?
Some people may find their skin is slightly redder than usual, but this may only last a day.
6. How many treatments will I need?
We recommend an initial four to six treatments every two to four weeks to achieve best results, followed by a monthly maintenance treatment.back to top
